Ilham Aliyev congratulated Donald Trump

President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to US President Donald Trump on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the text of the letter was published on the President of Azerbaijan's account on the social network X.

The message reads:

"Dear Mr. President,

It is with great pleasure that I extend to you my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of your remarkable milestone — your 80th birthday, wishing you good health, long life, happiness, continued success, and even greater achievements in your outstanding state activities as a distinguished Leader of a strong and powerful nation.

You have played an irreplaceable role in establishing and deepening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States, and we greatly appreciate this. The signing of the Strategic Partnership Charter, initiated during our historic meeting with you at the White House last August and completed six months later during the visit of US Vice President JD Vance to our country, has elevated Azerbaijani-American relations to a qualitatively new level. This remarkable achievement is a vivid testament to your unwavering will and determination. We express our gratitude to you for the great importance you attach to the development of our interstate relations and for your consistent support in this regard.

We are also grateful to you for your determination in advancing the peace agenda in the South Caucasus. The signing in your presence in Washington of the trilateral joint declaration, as well as the initialing of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations with Armenia, are the result of your consistent peacebuilding efforts. At the same time, we view the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP), which will ensure unimpeded communication between the main territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan and will become part of the Middle Corridor, as another contribution to the development of sustainable peace and cooperation in the region.

Dear Mr. President,

I highly value the personal relationship, friendship, deep respect, and trust that have developed between us, and I would like to express satisfaction with our productive meetings and contacts over the past year, which took place in an atmosphere of warmth and sincerity.

The high level of mutual understanding creates a solid foundation for deepening our relations in various spheres. Our shared determination to develop and strengthen Azerbaijani-American relations in all areas, particularly in trade and economics, investment, energy, security, transport connectivity, technology, and other sectors, deserves high appreciation.

I am confident that we will continue to successfully pursue joint efforts to further deepen the friendship and reliable partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States and to comprehensively expand our fruitful cooperation.

Expressing deep respect and esteem, I once again convey to you and your family my warmest wishes and wish you success in your important endeavors for the prosperity of the friendly American people."
