Some international media attempted to portray Azerbaijan as the guilty party in the Karabakh conflict, despite the fact that the country sought only to restore its sovereignty.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, speaking at the IV Shusha Global Media Forum.

"The Karabakh conflict was at the center of attention of international media, however some foreign media attempted to portray Azerbaijan as the guilty party. This is deeply regrettable. It is important to note that we only wanted to restore our sovereignty and we achieved this. Despite this, biased treatment of us in international media continued," he stated.

Hajiyev also emphasized that the Shusha Forum has today become one of the leading regional platforms.

"At the Shusha Global Media Forum, the topic of artificial intelligence was discussed. At that time, it was only at the initial stage of development, and for some, presentations prepared using artificial intelligence came as a surprise. In just two years, artificial intelligence has already become part of our reality," Hajiyev said.

He noted that social networks, on the one hand, have expanded opportunities for communication, and on the other hand, have accelerated the spread of disinformation and manipulation in society.

"Digital platforms have given a voice to billions of people, however at times it becomes more difficult to separate truth from falsehood," the Presidential Assistant emphasized.
