Delivery of liquefied gas from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan is expected soon
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) will be delivered from Russia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan in the near future.
This is reported by Armenian media.
"At present, Armenia is facing a problem with importing liquefied gas, as we import it from two main countries: Iran and Russia. In Iran, certain problems have arisen due to known circumstances, and the problems in the Russian direction are related to Upper Lars. The problem will be solved very soon, as the import of liquefied gas to Armenia will begin by rail, and Russian liquefied gas will very soon be delivered to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan," Lilit Shaboyan, press secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, told NEWS.am.
When asked about when the deliveries through Azerbaijan would begin, she noted "Soon," without specifying a specific date.
The media reports that in recent days, the price of liquefied gas has increased in Armenia, and there is a gas shortage in the market.
