Since the 44-day Patriotic War, 433 people have been affected as a result of mine contamination of Azerbaijan's territories by Armenia.
This was stated in a publication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan on the social network X.
It is noted that as a result of yet another mine incident, two Azerbaijani citizens sustained severe injuries.
"This tragedy once again reminds us of the severe humanitarian consequences that mines continue to cause, and of the dangers that innocent people face on a daily basis. There is an urgent need to strengthen international support for expanding demining operations. Clearing mines is a fundamental condition for ensuring sustainable peace, development, and human security," the publication states.
As a result of another landmine explosion 2 Azerbaijani citizens were severely injured.
