An event was held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press

An event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the national press of Azerbaijan was held.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, representatives of the media, government, and the public participated in the event organized by the Media Development Agency.

At the event, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev read out a congratulatory letter from President Ilham Aliyev addressed to our media representatives on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the national press.

Then, a number of media representatives were awarded the anniversary medal "150th Anniversary of the National Press of Azerbaijan (1875-2025)", established by the corresponding decree of the head of state. It was noted that in the near future, anniversary medals will be presented to other awarded individuals.

As part of the event, a video dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the national press of Azerbaijan was shown, covering all stages of media development, from the "Ekinchi" newspaper to the present day, historical turning points, and prospects for the media industry.

The anniversary event continued with an artistic part.

On July 22, the Media Development Agency is holding an event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, first, the address of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to media representatives in connection with the 150th anniversary of the national press was read out.

The address was read by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev.

It should be noted that the event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the national press is attended by heads of Azerbaijani television channels, news agencies, a number of leading print and online media entities, and public representatives.
