A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (RA) Jeyhun Bayramov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the foreign affairs ministry of the RA, during the telephone conversation, opinions were exchanged on the current military-political situation in the region, the escalating security tensions in the Middle East, and the associated risks.
The parties emphasized that the spread of regional escalation to a wider area is unacceptable and noted the importance of resolving issues through diplomatic means, based on international legal norms and principles.
The ministers stressed the importance of maintaining stability and security in the region and stated that ensuring the safety of the civilian population and infrastructure is a priority task.
It was noted that the strategic alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are gaining even greater significance against the backdrop of existing challenges, and it was emphasized that the two brotherly countries will continue close coordination.
During the telephone conversation, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
