A publication about the meeting with residents of the village of Boyuk Galadərəsi in the Shusha district was posted on the official social media pages of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the publication quotes the head of state's speech at the meeting with local residents:

"If the great leader Heydar Aliyev had not come to power at that time, it is hard to say what the fate of our people and state would be now. In any case, during that period Azerbaijan came face to face with a great catastrophe. At that time, the war was stopped, development began, and strength was accumulated. In my time, we dreamed of the day of freedom every day and brought it closer every day. Both you and those who lived in these territories know very well how difficult the terrain is here, as well as in Lachin, Kalbajar, Fuzuli, Jabrayil — there were seven lines of defense there, there were mines. Our heroic sons, advancing chest forward, sacrificing themselves, broke through these lines, and in just 44 days we forced Armenia to sign an act of capitulation. Neither before nor after has there been such an absolute Victory."
