The Central Bank of Azerbaijan made an important statement for those transferring money to Russia

Decisions to suspend money transfers from Azerbaijan to Russia through the "Zolotaya Korona" (Golden Crown) payment system are made based on mutual agreements between banks and payment systems.

This was reported by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in response to a query from Trend.

"Cooperation between banks and payment systems is carried out on the basis of mutual agreement between the parties, and the Central Bank does not interfere in these relations. Decisions regarding relations between banks and their partners are made independently by the banks, taking into account the requirements of local legislation and various risk factors," the CBA noted.

The Central Bank also recommended contacting the organization operating the payment system directly or the banks that had business relations with this payment system regarding this matter.
