The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will implement a rating system for suppliers on the e-tender platform.

This was announced by the deputy head of the operational procurement and supply department of SOCAR Elchin Musayev during a panel discussion on "Challenges, trends and opportunities by sectors in the digital transformation process" in Baku.

"In the near future, a rating system will be implemented on the platform to evaluate the performance of suppliers. This system will help suppliers compare their activities with competitors and improve their performance. In addition, the digital platform provides opportunities for data tracking, increasing transparency, and offers advanced analytical capabilities," he said.

According to E. Musayev, quality data is at the core of digital transformation.

"When suppliers pay attention to the quality of the data they provide, it gives them advantages in terms of broader collaboration opportunities, increased profitability, and readiness for new transformation in the industry," explained the deputy head.

He recalled that SOCAR has been using the e-tender platform since February 2005.

"Currently, more than 600 internal users from various SOCAR structures are registered on the platform, as well as about 3,000 suppliers, both local and foreign, representing various fields. The platform covers all stages of procurement, from initial qualification selection, requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), to supplier performance management," emphasized E. Musayev.
