In Baku, an official reception was held on the occasion of Independence Day of Turkmenistan

On October 10, an official reception was held in Baku on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to AZERTAC, at the beginning of the event, the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan were performed.

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Gurbanmamet Elyasov noted that today relations between the two countries are built on the principles of brotherhood, good neighborliness and cooperation. These relations have deep roots.

According to him, cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan within the framework of international organizations has already become a good tradition. Both countries continue to provide mutual support in the international sphere within the framework of cooperation.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized that Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are united by common history, culture, ethnic roots, language and religion. The fraternal relations between our countries allow us to move forward confidently in the successful implementation of joint projects and initiatives.

"There is great potential for expanding cooperation in the energy sector. SOCAR is interested in participating in projects for the development of promising oil and gas fields in Turkmenistan. Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan plays an important role in increasing the efficiency of the Middle Corridor. The volume of transit transportation along this route is steadily growing every year," he noted.

Representatives of the state and government, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited in our country, took part in the event organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan.
