In Azerbaijan, benefits and allowances are established for these persons
In Azerbaijan, benefits and a number of social privileges are planned to be introduced for civil servants called up for military service.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to APA, the relevant provisions are reflected in the amendments to the law "On Civil Service," which were discussed today at a meeting of the Milli Mejlis.
According to the proposed project, a civil servant called up for compulsory military or alternative service may be temporarily removed from performing their official duties.
During the service period, they will receive an allowance equal to three average monthly government salaries. Moreover, except in cases of liquidation of a state body, persons who held a position before being called up will be able to be reinstated to their previous or a similar position if they apply no later than 60 calendar days after discharge from military service.
In addition, the period of compulsory military service will be included in the total length of civil service for those employees who held a civil service position before being called up and were reappointed to civil service after being discharged from the reserve.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
