Azerbaijan gas supplies to Austria and Germany have begun
The State Oil Company (SOCAR) has begun a new important stage in the export of Azerbaijani gas, carrying out the sale of significant volumes of gas transported through the European segment of the Southern Gas Corridor TAP (Trans-Adriatic Pipeline) to the markets of Southern and Central Europe.
As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced by SOCAR.
It is noted that since January 2026, gas from Azerbaijan has been supplied, among other countries, to buyers from Austria and Germany.
Gas supplies to Austria and Germany via Italy further expand the geographic coverage of Azerbaijani gas in Europe. Thus, the number of countries receiving Azerbaijani gas has reached 16.
SOCAR, in accordance with the gas strategy formed under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, is constantly expanding its gas marketing activities in the European and Middle Eastern regions, increasing the portfolio of cooperation with buyers from different countries and further strengthening Azerbaijan's position as a reliable energy supplier.
