The film "Khojaly. The Last Wedding" begins screening in the CineMastercard cinema network.

The storyline of the artistic-documentary film, produced jointly by Global Media Group and Report news agency, is based on real events - the last wedding ceremony interrupted 33 years ago as a result of the shelling of Khojaly by Armenian militants.

The Khojaly tragedy of 1992 became one of the bloodiest pages in human history, taking away not only hundreds of lives but also the hopes, dreams, and joy of many families. The film reflects the idea of how the Azerbaijani people, who survived the Khojaly grief, can focus on a positive, joyful future.

The idea for the film came from a preserved black and white photograph from that wedding on January 18, 1992. In the film, this photograph is recreated in color and serves as a symbol of Khojaly's revival. Years later, the traditional "Vagzaly" sounds again on the liberated land, filling the city with an atmosphere of celebration.

The filming took place in Khojaly (documentary footage) and Agsu (artistic part).

The project was implemented under the leadership of Elnur Nazim oglu Abdullayev, Chairman of the Board of Global Media Group. The author of the idea and screenplay is Niyam Shirinov, the director is Yusif Alekberzade, and the producer is Fuad Huseynaliyev.

From April 17 to 23, viewers can watch the film for free at the CineMastercard cinema network located in Dəniz Mall and Gənclik Mall shopping centers.
