US President Donald Trump expressed his deep disappointment in Russian leader Vladimir Putin and admitted the possibility of reconsidering the previously established 50-day deadline for reaching agreements on Ukraine.

Trump stated this during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Turnberry golf club, reports BAKU.WS with reference to SkyNews.

"If it weren't for me, six major wars would have already broken out in the world," noted the American leader.

According to him, active negotiations on resolving the situation were previously conducted with Keir Starmer, and it seemed that the parties were close to a compromise. However, Trump emphasized, Vladimir Putin's sudden actions dashed these hopes.

"President Putin is launching missiles again - for example, at Kyiv, killing many people, including those in nursing homes," Trump said.

He stated that he is considering the possibility of reducing the 50-day period allotted for peaceful settlement, as he already foresees the outcome.

Recall that earlier in July, Trump threatened Russia with tough economic measures, including tariffs of up to 100%, if an agreement to end the war on Ukrainian territory is not reached within 50 days.
