Trump officially announced the opening of Venezuela for US oil companies
US President Donald Trump said that Washington is building good relations with the new leadership of Venezuela and opening the country for American oil companies to operate, reports BAKU.WS with reference to aif.ru.
According to him, interaction with the new authorities of Venezuela is developing successfully, and the process of admitting the largest US oil companies to the country's market is proceeding as planned. The statement was made during the signing ceremony of the "Peace Council" charter on Gaza, which took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Recall that on the night of January 3, US military forces struck Venezuelan territory, after which the country's president Nicolas Maduro was captured along with his wife Cilia Flores. Later, the US Department of Justice published a memorandum outlining the "legal grounds" for military intervention, calling the operation an "armed conflict" that did not reach the level of war.
