Trump: Lebanon is not included in the deal with Iran because of Hezbollah

The cessation of hostilities in Lebanon was not included among the conditions of the ceasefire between the US and Iran, as the confrontation between Israel and the [Shiite movement] Hezbollah is a separate conflict.

As reported by TASS, US President Donald Trump stated this in a phone interview with PBS.

"Yes, they were not included in the deal," he said. He was asked to clarify why this did not happen. "Because of Hezbollah, they were not included in the deal. That will be taken care of too. Everything is fine," the head of the White House replied.

Journalists asked him whether he was satisfied with Israel continuing to carry out strikes. "It's part of the deal — everyone knows that. It's a separate fight," the American president noted.

As journalists pointed out, when the head of the White House was asked whether he regretted his post on Truth Social about the possible destruction of Iranian civilization, the head of the American administration hung up the phone.

As the Fars agency reported earlier, Iran suspended the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz due to Israel's attacks on Lebanon.
