The US urged its citizens to leave the Middle East region
The U.S. Embassy in Jordan has urged American citizens staying in the Middle East to consider the possibility of leaving the region or to prepare for such a step in the event of further escalation of the situation.
The statement was posted on the official resources of the American diplomatic mission.
The published document emphasizes that American citizens need to take enhanced precautionary measures, maintain a high level of vigilance, and take into account the likelihood of flight cancellations, temporary airspace restrictions, as well as possible disruptions in transportation services.
The Embassy also urged Americans located outside the Middle East region to carefully reconsider any plans to travel to or transit through the area.
This warning came amid reports of the U.S. Armed Forces preparing for a possible expansion of military operations against Iran.
