The United States and European countries have stated that they have developed military options designed to support negotiations to overcome the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
BAKU.WS reports this with reference to the press service of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces.
"The Chiefs of General Staff of the United States, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Finland, Ukraine, as well as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO held a meeting in Washington on August 19-20. The Chiefs of General Staff developed options for actions in the military sphere to support negotiations and ensure lasting peace in Europe," the joint written statement of the parties said.
It is noted that these options will be presented to the national security advisors of each country involved for proper consideration in the process of ongoing diplomatic efforts, and planning and communication will continue as negotiations on resolving the situation in Ukraine proceed.
The document does not specify what exactly these action options entail.
