The Kremlin responded to Trump's plan for Ukraine
The American plan for settling the Ukrainian conflict could become a basis for negotiations, Russia considers it substantive.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to TASS, this was stated to journalists by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
"Now the only thing that is substantive is the American project, Trump's project," indicated the Kremlin representative. "We believe that this could become a very good basis for negotiations, and our president [Vladimir Putin] also spoke about this," Peskov added.
According to him, the situation around the peace plan proposed by Washington for the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis now represents an informational bacchanalia.
"Now it is impossible to comment on every media report. I would characterize the situation as an informational bacchanalia - there's no other way to describe it. Indeed, a lot of contradictory data is being published, contradictory statements, and so on and so forth," said the Kremlin representative.
Peskov also added that the Kremlin is closely monitoring press reports about contacts between representatives of Russia and the United States in Abu Dhabi, however, there are no innovations in this direction.
"We still have nothing to report [about such contacts]. We are monitoring media reports, we are carefully analyzing them," he said.
According to Peskov, Moscow has not received an updated peace plan for Ukraine consisting of 19 points:
Russia was given a draft of the American plan for Ukraine, it largely corresponds to the spirit of the meeting in Anchorage. The time will come, and Russia will substantively deal with the US plan for Ukrainian settlement."
