The European Union made a concerning decision for Ukraine

The European Union will decide to reduce the fourth tranche of financial aid to Ukraine. This was announced by European Commission representative Guillaume Mercier, reports BAKU.WS with reference to the publication "European Truth".
According to him, if Ukraine had implemented all 16 necessary reforms, the amount of support would have been 4.5 billion euros (approximately 5.2 billion dollars). However, the European Commission recognized only 13 reforms as completed and proposed that the EU Council approve a payment of 3.05 billion euros (about 3.5 billion dollars) under the Ukraine Facility mechanism.
As specified, Ukraine has not completed three key reforms: in the sphere of decentralization, reforming the National Agency for Asset Recovery and Management, and the procedure for selecting judges for the High Anti-Corruption Court.
Earlier, European Parliament member from Denmark Christel Schaldemose warned that non-compliance with standards for the operation of anti-corruption structures could seriously affect Ukraine's prospects for EU membership and further assistance from the bloc.
