The death toll from the Houthi strike on a vessel has risen to six

The death toll from the missile strike by Yemen's Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement on the commercial vessel Tihama in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait has risen to six, with 10 more people injured.

As reported by SABA, this was announced by the Yemeni Coast Guard.

"According to preliminary data, four crew members of the vessel were killed: three Pakistanis and one Indonesian, as well as two servicemen of the 2nd Naval Brigade," the agency's statement said.

Among the 10 injured are seven crew members, two coast guard personnel, and one serviceman. Earlier, Yemen's Ministry of Transport reported four dead and four wounded.

The agency specified that the casualties among security forces were caused by a second Houthi missile strike, which was carried out directly during the evacuation of the crew.

In addition, approximately three hours after the attack, the rebels dispatched an explosive-laden unmanned boat toward the vessel, but it was intercepted and destroyed by Yemeni military forces. In total, 11 sailors were rescued from the vessel.

The decision was a response to a strike by the Saudi-led coalition on Sanaa airport, which disrupted the landing of an Iranian aircraft.
