The actress who played a heroine in the popular film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" has died

Actress and People's Artist of Russia Vera Alentova passed away at the age of 84. She served at the Pushkin Theater for over 60 years. To the wider audience, she is known for films "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears," "Tomorrow Was the War," "Shirli-Myrli," and other movies.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Pushkin Theater, Vera Alentova died at the age of 83. Her death was announced by representatives of the theater, where the actress worked for more than six decades. The cause of the artist's death was not specified.

"A great tragedy has occurred. Vera Valentinovna Alentova is gone. She served at the Pushkin Theater for 60 years. Our grief is boundless. We will provide additional information about the date and place of the farewell ceremony," says the official statement from the theater.

During her years on stage, Vera Alentova performed more than 30 roles in various productions. Besides theater, she left a bright mark in cinema, starring in a number of famous films that brought her nationwide love and recognition.
