Romania shot down second drone of the day near the border with Ukraine

Romania shot down a second unmanned aerial vehicle in two days that violated the country's airspace in the Danube Delta region near the border with Ukraine.

This was reported by President Nicușor Dan on his social media account on X.

According to him, the drone was intercepted at 08:30 (09:30 Baku time) local time, 10 km west of the city of Sfântu Gheorghe, using F-16 fighter jets. The origin of the aircraft has not been specified.

The day before, the Romanian leader had already reported the downing of a drone that had illegally entered the country's airspace.
