Netanyahu admitted the possibility of Ayatollah Khamenei's death

The Israeli Air Force struck the residence of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during its attack on Iran.

This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a televised address broadcast on Israeli television.

"This morning, as a result of a powerful surprise strike, we destroyed Khamenei's building complex," he said.

Netanyahu also claimed that Khamenei himself may have been killed as a result of the strike.

"There are all indications that perhaps he is no longer in Iran," the prime minister suggested.
