The United States plans to land its astronauts on the Moon in three and a half years. This was announced by Acting Director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Sean Duffy in an interview with Fox News.
According to him, in 2026 American astronauts will orbit the Moon but will not land on it. The landing will be carried out during Donald Trump's term as head of state, that is, before January 2029.
Duffy emphasized that a permanent American base will be established on the Moon. The knowledge gained there will help accomplish a flight to Mars.
