Media: The USA deployed another destroyer to the Persian Gulf zone
The US Armed Forces have deployed a sixth destroyer, the Delbert D Black, to the Persian Gulf zone.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by CBS News and Reuters news agency.
Citing an unnamed American official, the latter clarified that now the US has one aircraft carrier, six destroyers, and three littoral combat ships in the Middle East region. The destroyer Delbert D Black arrived in the region within the last two days.
As stated on January 28 by US Secretary of State - Assistant to the American President for National Security Marco Rubio, Washington does not rule out the possibility of conducting a military operation against Iran, which, according to the American side, would be preventive. He confirmed that the US intends to continue building up its military presence in the Middle East due to another round of tensions around Iran.
