Media: Tehran and Washington have agreed on easing the blockade of Iran

Iran and the United States have reached agreements on easing the naval blockade of Iran in exchange for the gradual resumption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

This was reported by the Saudi television channel Al Arabiya, citing Pakistani sources.

"Agreements have been reached regarding the easing of the blockade in exchange for the gradual opening of the Strait of Hormuz," the channel's sources claim. According to their information, intensive contacts are currently underway on this issue, and "a breakthrough in resolving the problem of ships blocked in the strait is expected in the coming hours."

At the same time, Al Arabiya's sources clarified that "at this point, there are no agreements on holding direct meetings between the Iranians and the Americans," and contacts continue to be conducted through intermediaries. According to the channel's sources, U.S. President Donald Trump has also requested the fastest possible response from the Iranian side to the American de-escalation proposal. Al Arabiya notes that the negotiation process is proceeding without obstacles and "Iran may transmit its response to Pakistani intermediaries as early as today."
