Media: Ceasefire between the US and Iran will take effect after the opening of Hormuz
The US assumes that the ceasefire with Iran will take effect after the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced on social media platform X by Axios correspondent Barak Ravid.
"A White House spokesperson stated that the ceasefire will take effect when Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz," he wrote.
At the same time, The New York Times, citing an unnamed source in the US administration, reported that the US military has halted strikes on Iranian territory in accordance with the announced ceasefire.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that he is postponing potential strikes on Iran's civilian infrastructure for two weeks, on the condition that Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz.
