Media: Armenia and India are discussing localization of Pinaka rocket production
Armenia is discussing with India the possibility of localizing the production of Pinaka rocket systems and artillery ammunition as part of expanding defense cooperation.
This is reported by Indian Defence Research Wing.
According to the publication, Yerevan is considering the local production or assembly of Indian Pinaka rocket systems. The discussions concern the development of a more precise version of the system — the Guided Pinaka, which in terms of accuracy approaches Western systems such as HIMARS, as well as the production of 155 mm caliber artillery shells.
According to sources, the parties are discussing the establishment of production infrastructure in Armenia with the participation of Indian defense companies. It is expected that this will allow the formation of a more resilient military supply chain and reduce dependence on external suppliers in crisis situations.
