Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shared his opinion on the relations between Tehran and Riyadh.

This was reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "Free Iran".

The Foreign Minister noted that disagreements and disputes between the two countries sometimes led to a break in diplomatic relations. However, according to him, the Islamic Republic has never considered Saudi Arabia as an enemy.

"There have been many misunderstandings between us, and after the Islamic Revolution, certain disagreements arose among our friends in the region," the minister emphasized.

According to Araghchi, these misunderstandings and tensions have historical roots. A particular aggravation of relations occurred after the tragic Hajj of 2015, when 2,236 pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia.
