Iran named the venue for negotiations with the United States

The US-Iran negotiations will take place in Pakistan's capital Islamabad, Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced. The Iranian side will allocate two weeks for the negotiations but will be ready to extend the deadline by mutual agreement.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this information comes from the Iranian agency Tasnim.

According to the reports, among the points of Iran's peace agreement plan are:

- US guarantees of non-aggression;

- maintaining Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz;

- agreement on uranium enrichment;

- lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions;

- payment of compensation to Iran.

The agency claims that the United States accepted these points as a basis for negotiations.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced agreement on a two-week ceasefire. He also stated that the US received a ten-point proposal from Iran that could serve as a basis for negotiations.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the head of the White House with a request to extend the deadline.
