In Israel, it was stated that at the beginning of the conflict with Iran, they deployed the "Iron Dome" in the UAE.
At the beginning of the conflict with Iran, Israel deployed the "Iron Dome" air defense system in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was confirmed by the Minister of Transport and Road Safety of the Jewish state, Miri Regev, in an interview with the Israeli army radio "Galei Tzahal."
"The UAE understood that ballistic missiles represent one of the biggest problems, and they benefit from our (Israel's - TASS note) support," she said. The newspaper Maariv notes that Regev's statement was the first acknowledgment by an Israeli minister of the transfer of Iron Dome batteries to the UAE. Previously, the Israeli side had not officially commented on this topic.
In mid-May, the US Ambassador to the Jewish state, Mike Huckabee, stated that Israel had transferred Iron Dome air defense batteries to the UAE and sent personnel to "assist in their operation" amid the armed conflict with Iran. At the end of April, the Axios portal, citing sources, reported that Israel had deployed the Iron Dome in the UAE, noting that this was the first deployment of this type of air defense outside the US and Israel.
