In Iran's Mashhad, the burial ceremony of Ali Khamenei has begun
The burial ceremony of Iran's ex-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has begun in his hometown of Mashhad.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the IRNA agency.
It will conclude the mourning events in memory of Khamenei, which have been held since last Friday in the Iranian cities of Tehran and Qom, as well as in Iraq - in the cities of Najaf and Karbala, which are sacred to Muslims.

It is noted that political figures from more than 45 countries, as well as scholars, religious leaders, and researchers from more than 90 countries participated in the event.
As a reminder, on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, carrying out airstrikes on a number of cities in the country. Ali Khamenei was killed as a result of the strikes.
