In France, unknown individuals injected 145 girls with syringes at a music festival
During the annual street music festival in France, unknown individuals injected 145 girls and teenage girls with syringes, as reported by The Guardian.
Shortly before the festival, which took place across the country, calls for violence against women during the festival appeared on social media. After the event, 145 victims reported to the police that they had been pricked with needles. In Paris, 13 cases were recorded, with the rest occurring in other cities.
Some victims went to hospitals for toxicological testing. The Ministry of Interior suggests that the perpetrators may have been injecting the girls with narcotic substances and sleeping medications that rapists use to immobilize victims. No official information about what was in the syringes has been provided.
