Five candidates for the post of UN Secretary-General have been named
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, former President of Chile Michelle Bachelet, former President of Senegal Macky Sall, UNCTAD Secretary-General on special leave Rebeca Grynspan, and President of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly María Fernanda Espinosa are candidates for the post of Secretary-General of the world organization.
This was reported by Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya in an interview with "Vesti."
"We have five official candidates: Grossi, Bachelet, former President of Senegal Macky Sall, former UNCTAD Secretary-General Costa Rican Grynspan, and María Fernanda Espinosa recently appeared, an Ecuadorian, President of the General Assembly in 2018."
