Ex-director of Gldani Prison found dead in Tbilisi
The former head of one of Georgia's prisons, David Gogoberishvili, was found dead in his own garage.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Georgian media, the ex-official's body was discovered with a gunshot wound.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has opened a case under the article "incitement to suicide." However, the department does not rule out that the qualification may be changed after establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
Recall that at the end of August, Gogoberishvili resigned amid the case of beating Georgy Bachiashvili - a former business partner of billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili.
Bachiashvili was sentenced to 11 years in prison on charges of embezzling a large amount of cryptocurrency.
