Emergency Warning for Istanbul Residents
The Turkish General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning about an approaching heavy snowfall in Istanbul.
As reported by Baku.ws, due to the forecasted deterioration in weather conditions, some flights have already been canceled in the city, and road services are conducting necessary preparatory work.
According to meteorologists, today the air temperature in the city will be 7 degrees. Starting from night hours, a temperature drop of 4 degrees is expected, followed by snowfall that will continue until Friday morning.
Istanbul residents received SMS notifications about the upcoming snowfall. The message contains important information: "Due to the expected cold wave in Istanbul, to prevent damage from freezing, it is necessary to ensure proper insulation of water pipes and meters located outdoors. Simple insulation measures will help prevent possible problems."
