Durov: Telegram became a weapon of protests in France

The founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov stated that he is proud that his platform has become one of the tools for protests in France against the policies of President Emmanuel Macron. He wrote about this on the social network X.
"I am proud that Telegram has turned into a means of organizing protests in France against Macron's failed policies. After eight years of oblivion, the French are tired of empty PR and showmanship from the authorities - and now they are responding," Durov noted.
On September 10, large-scale protest actions are planned in France under the slogan "Block everything." They will take place against the backdrop of growing public discontent with the austerity measures proposed by the government.
