Durov: Paris can declare any IT company a criminal group

Telegram founder Pavel Durov stated that France can at any moment declare any technology company a "criminal group," reports Ren TV.
"At the moment, any technology company in France can be declared a 'criminal group'", – Durov wrote on his page on X (formerly Twitter).
He added that a handful of bureaucrats are nullifying decades of efforts to attract investments in the technology sector.
This was his response to a publication by the X team on global government issues, which reported that French authorities had launched a criminal investigation against the company for "algorithm manipulation and illegal use of user data." X categorically denies its guilt.
