Cough syrup killed 24 children in India
In India, they are investigating the mass death of children who were poisoned by cough syrup.
As reported by BAKU.WS, according to Reuters, 24 children became victims of the dangerous medication.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the manufacturing company Sresan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer used contaminated solvent. The propylene glycol for the syrup was purchased from a local distributor, who acquired it from Jinkushal Aroma - a manufacturer of fragrances for household chemicals.
Laboratory tests showed that the medication contained the industrial toxin diethylene glycol. Indian authorities are conducting a large-scale inspection of the pharmaceutical market to establish the entire supply chain and determine those responsible for the tragedy.
