Chief of the General Staff of Iran and the IRGC commander killed in Israeli strike

As a result of Israeli airstrikes on various regions of Iran, the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri, and the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, were killed.

The IRGC, in turn, issued a statement confirming the death of its commander-in-chief.
In addition, Ali Shamkhani, an advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Ali Khamenei, was seriously wounded as a result of the Israeli strike.
At the same time, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Fereidoun Abbasi, and the president of the Islamic Azad University, Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, were killed in the airstrikes.

The Tasnim agency confirmed the information about his death, but there have been no official statements from the Iranian government yet.
