Bridge collapses in India: there are casualties

This year, several bridges collapsed in different states of India, leading to tragic loss of life and raising questions about the safety of public structures.

At least nine people died as a result of a bridge collapse in India. The tragedy unfolded in the state of Gujarat. Several cars fell into the river. Rescuers managed to pull at least five people from the water. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
