British newspaper Daily Mail reported that Queen vocalist Freddie Mercury had a daughter whose existence was unknown for a long time. According to the publication, the girl was conceived in 1976 during his affair with the wife of a close friend. Now the woman is 48 years old, she is a doctor, lives in Europe and is raising children.

The information was revealed in a new biographical book "Love, Freddie" (Love, Freddie), written by Lesley-Ann Jones. Until now, it was believed that Mercury had no biological children.

As noted, only the closest people knew about the daughter: the singer's parents and sister, members of Queen, and Mary Austin - the most important woman in his life. The daughter's name is not revealed - in the book she is designated by the letter "B". She did not live with her father, but he often visited her and shortly before his death gave her 17 volumes of personal diaries, which became the basis for the new biography. According to the woman, Mercury showed deep affection for her. Her mother died many years ago.

The author of the book is convinced that the woman is indeed the daughter of the legendary musician.

The band Queen became one of the most successful in rock music history, and Freddie Mercury himself died on November 24, 1991, from pneumonia related to HIV infection.
