A shoe was thrown at the President of Kenya during a public speech

Kenya's President William Ruto miraculously avoided being hit in the head by a shoe during a public speech in Migori County in the western part of the country. The incident occurred last Sunday, reports The Star newspaper.
In the middle of a speech about reducing the cost of living, a shoe suddenly flew from the crowd toward the head of state. In video footage that quickly spread across social media, President Ruto can be seen displaying lightning-fast reflexes, deflecting the object flying in his direction with his hand.
Security services immediately interrupted the event, however, the speech resumed after police promptly cleared the area around the platform where the Kenyan head of state was located.
According to The Star, law enforcement has already detained three suspects who are currently being interrogated. At the same time, active searches are underway for other possible accomplices in the incident.
