A passenger plane with more than 240 passengers on board has crashed in India
Indian media report that at least 110 people died in a plane crash near the airport of Ahmedabad. Earlier, there was information about 40 casualties.
Recall that a Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed in a residential area of Ahmedabad one minute after takeoff. There were 242 people on board the Air India aircraft. The flight was headed to London.
There may also be casualties on the ground, as the plane crashed into a residential area. Images are appearing in the media showing the wreckage of the airliner on residential buildings.
It is known that there were 169 Indian citizens, 53 British citizens, seven Portuguese citizens, and one Canadian on board the crashed plane.
