A joint meeting of the presidents of the USA, Russia, and Ukraine is planned
US President Donald Trump stated that he is confident in the readiness of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to agree on conflict resolution.
He said this while answering questions from journalists at the White House.
"I think it will be a good meeting, but the second meeting that we will hold will be more important. We are going to have a meeting with President Putin, President Zelensky, myself, and possibly we will invite some European leaders. Possibly not, it's not known yet," said the American leader.
"We'll see what happens. I think President Putin will make peace. I believe President Zelensky will make peace," Trump added.
