Women revealed the main factor of premature aging
Cardiac surgeon Sandra Eifer believes that heredity determines a person's lifespan only partially - no more than 30-40 percent. A much more significant role, according to her, is played by lifestyle, and the main accelerator of aging in women is chronic stress.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing HuffPost, the specialist explained that constant pressure and striving to meet expectations - in profession, family, and appearance - undermines health over time. This affects the functioning of the heart, brain, and hormonal system. Unlike men, Eifer noted, the female body reacts to stress noticeably more acutely: the same irritant causes more pronounced spikes in blood pressure, heart rate, and hormone levels.
The doctor also emphasized that no vitamins or supplements can neutralize the effects of prolonged stress. Instead, she recommends paying attention to meditation, physical activity, and favorite hobbies. Eifer separately highlighted another important aspect - the ability to stop in time and allow oneself to feel anger. According to her, anger remains an underestimated emotion in women's health: women are accustomed to suppressing it, however, safe and constructive release, for example through intense workouts, can be justified from a medical point of view as well.
