What signs on the legs indicate the imminent death of a person?

Scientists from France and the United Kingdom conducted a joint study and concluded that deterioration of motor functions in people over 65 years of age may indicate approaching death.

The study began at the end of the last century. From 1985 to 1988, French and British specialists analyzed the influence of social, behavioral, and biological factors on human health in the long term.

During the above-mentioned period, scientists examined the condition of six thousand volunteers aged 35 to 55 years. Then from 2007 to 2016, the participants' motor functions were evaluated three times. The study took into account walking speed, the time needed to rise from a chair, grip strength, and difficulties that a person experiences in everyday life, in particular, problems with dressing, cooking, using the toilet, and buying groceries.

Experts, after analyzing all factors, determined that people who experienced difficulties walking had a 22% increased risk of death. For volunteers who had problems with grip strength, this risk increased by 15%. If people found it difficult to rise from a chair, the possibility of approaching death increased by 14%, and this probability increased by as much as 30% among those who noted difficulties in everyday life.
