Psychologist named a way to prevent autumn depression

Specialists from Russia sound the alarm: with the onset of October and the reduction of daylight hours, many people face seasonal depression. However, this condition can be prevented, psychologists claim.
Elena Mazankina, Director of the Psychology Center at Samara State Medical University, in an interview with RT, described the signs of autumn mood decline. These include apathy, avoidance of social contacts, lowered emotional state, chronic fatigue, and a feeling of exhaustion.
"Even short walks can increase serotonin levels and improve well-being. Try not to avoid your usual activities, even if you want to stay in bed. Plans and small goals help to maintain control over the situation. Try to maintain a stable sleep schedule," the expert emphasized.
To prevent seasonal depression, the specialist recommends maintaining physical activity and providing the body with a full, varied diet.
