Parents were told ways to protect children from frequent illnesses in kindergarten

Minimizing the risk of a child's illness in kindergarten is possible through strengthening immunity, regular medical check-ups, use of vaccines and other preventive measures, said Russian expert, candidate of medical sciences, cardiologist Elizaveta Skorodumova.
"Children most often start actively attending kindergarten at about two to three years of age, when the body encounters a large number of new viruses and bacteria, but since the child's immune system is not yet mature enough, it is not adapted to many infections," the doctor explained.
According to the specialist, hardening procedures, walks in the fresh air, and a balanced diet will help strengthen the child's immunity. Skorodumova also recommended teaching children personal hygiene rules: washing hands before eating and after walks, contact with animals, not putting dirty objects in the mouth, maintaining distance when sneezing and coughing.
"It is also necessary to maintain a sleep and rest schedule, conduct regular medical examinations, use vaccines that can protect the child from the most common infections. It is also important to minimize contact with sick children: you should avoid sending a child to kindergarten if there are signs of illness in the group," emphasized the Russian medical expert.
